I have minor back pain from scoliosis and the Compex device helps relieve the sore muscles when they become inflamed. I sit in a chair in front of a computer all day long which is horrible for your back. The Active Recovery Feature has been helping get more oxygen to my muscles and makes me feel better. I am starting to see a positive change in the way I feel too from the endorphins I get from using the unit, and want to be more active from just using the unit. It makes me feel younger. Works great to relax tired muscles after work-outs. Also very effective to build new muscles. I used it regularly. (Posted on 8/26/09)
After not having run a mile before, I signed up to run the San Diego 1/2 Rock n' Roll Marathon through Team in Training. In an effort to avoid soreness I obtained a Compex unit and used the Active Recovery program each night after my runs to reduce soreness the next day. Sure enough with the proper training and use of Compex I finished my race in 3 hours. I was thrilled! Thank you Compex! (Posted on 8/25/09)
I use my Compex Sport after running or a work-out to reduce the muscle soreness and fatigue. I just apply the electrodes and run the Active Recovery program. Since I recently turned 45, it is nice to be able to push it during the work-out and not have to worry about major soreness the next day. Thanks for providing this great unit for old-timers who still want to stay in shape! (Posted on 8/24/09)
I had a tight hip on Saturday and Sunday. So I over stretched and was sore on Monday. On Monday night, I used the "Active Recovery" mode for 3 sessions on my left side. The pain was gone by the time I was done.
I have lent my Compex Sport to a doctor and massage therapist. They both like it and continue to ask to use it. (Posted on 8/21/09)
To Whom It May Concern:
I am taking this moment to say how satisfied I am with my Compex Sport unit. I recently purchased one as a way to supplement my athletic activities – basketball, tennis, and swimming. I was initially skeptical that this unit could deliver as advertised. However, two weeks in, I can already feel that my results have been augmented by introducing the Compex Sport unit to my training regimen. I look forward to continuing to incorporate Compex as I strive to push the limits of my own potential.
Thank you very much. (Posted on 8/21/09)
For the past year each of our athletes has been using the Compex Muscle Stimulator. Our athletes have used it in two ways. First, the Compex unit has been used as part of their warm-down process following practice or a competition. It has been highly effective in greatly reducing the lactic acid from our athletes' legs, thus limiting the soreness that usually follows a difficult workout. Second, our athletes have also used the device to supplement their weight-training program. The Compex unit has helped our athletes strengthen their shoulders and legs above and beyond what occurs in the weight room.
The Compex Muscle Stimulator has become a very important component to the LMU Women's Volleyball training program.

The Compex Sport has become an essential part of my training. It helps me build strength as well as recover after hard workouts. I firmly believe that Compex Sport can help take me to the next level. (Posted on 8/21/09)
Okay I'm pretty amazed. I just ran 13 yesterday which I hadn't done in a looooong time. I used the Compex Sport to warmup before I went out and my legs felt great from the outset. I felt like I was running on air. Usually my legs take 2 miles to wake up. When I got back I did 20 minutes or so of Active Recovery. I knew something was different when I walked down a set of stairs last night. I was expecting to be sore from my run. Nope...felt great. Then I was expecting to be really sore today...again no. My legs feel great. Pretty amazing. I guess the Compex really does clear out the lactic acid as promised. Love it....do I dare sign up for next year's Rock N Roll with my new secret weapon????? The Compex Sport has allowed me to get in workouts when I don't have time. More importantly it has allowed me to get quick recovery from muscle sourness so that I workout hard the next day.
I'd recommend this to anyone who works out or is trying to loose weight. This is a tremendous benefit for anyone looking to improve their lifestyle. (Posted on 8/21/09)
I used Compex during the training for the Rock n' Roll Marathon in San Diego. After very demanding Marathon run I used twice the ACTIVE RECOVERY program.
Next day I came to work without any pain or discomfort in my legs. It felt like I did not run at all the previous day. What a great product! (Posted on 8/21/09)
i am a swimmer and tried the Compex Sport out for the Active Recovery at a big swim meet. I loved it, and decided to buy one for my own. once my coach got me a workout to do with the compex, i started with the strength training, but was not loyal with it and skipped a few workouts through the week. Bad idea i was soo sore on my arm that i couldnt not get out of the pool in the middel of practice without using the ladder. I stopped the workouts and resumed normal weight training and also with the Active Recovery program. A few months later I started up the workouts again but did it every day for two weeks then moved it down to every other day. i am still training with the Compex Sport, no terrible sorness, but a normal workout feeling. So for those who are thinking about getting one. DO IT! but dont start out too high on intensity, and keep it going.. normal dumbbell press for me is 35 in each hand..now i am at 55, with a few months training. (Posted on 8/5/09)
I decided to try the Compex Sport muscle stimulator to see if I can build strength in my quads. I’ve suffered from knee problems most of my adult life and have been told by many doctors and trainers that strength in my quads is the key to keeping my knees healthy. My typically workout routine includes going to the gym 2 - 3 times a week and I target my quads with leg curls and squats. For the past month I’ve been using the Compex Sport on my quads 2 times a week in between my workouts. I’m using the resistance program on level 1 and keeping the intensity level as high as I can tolerate. Just in this past week I’ve noticed a difference when I was doing my leg curls. Typically I would do 2 sets of 20 reps with a weight of 20 lbs and on the last 5-7 reps of each set I would increase the weight to 30lbs. Last week I was able to complete both sets of 20 with 30lbs of weight. I’m not a big person, and I work very hard to obtain the strength I have so an increase like this is a big deal to me. Like I said, I’ve only been using my Compex sport for a month, but I completely see the value in supplementing your workout with this machine if you’re looking to maximize your strength.
