    RE: terminology of Neuro-Stimulation (not direct muscle stim.).
    2007 In Europe, we were taught, “neuromuscular electrostimulation (NMES)” when it applies to the efferent or motor nerves.
    - or -
    “electrostimulation (ES)” for both efferent (motor) and afferent (sensory) nerves.

    Nomenclature just as with the term, “electrophysiology”.
